Domain specific Settings not working: "Cannot find the MagicSpam user home directory"

Post by flexor » Wed Sep 26, 2018 12:39 am

Hey guys,
I've got about 300 domains (incl. subdomains) in my plesk panel and it seems that most of them have lost the ability to set specific settings for their own in their magic spam panel. If I randomly choose a domain in plesk and click on the Magic Spam button, I've got the error

Code: Select all

Cannot find the MagicSpam user home directory
on a white page without Plesk GUI around it. Any advices on this?
It seems that not all domains have that error.. a few of them are working but I cannot make a system of it out...

Thanks for your support!
(The error is present since many months..)

Plesk Version: Plesk Onyx – Version 17.8.11 Update #22
Magic Spam: MagicSpam Pro – 2.1-9.4

Best regards
Flex

After requesting support from magicspam, we found the error, apparently it was a Plesk XML API error, it was fixed on version 2.2.1-4.1.

However, we noticed that it is linked to subscriptions plans. You need to assign an Established Plan, give magicspam permissions to that plan and once this is done, update and synchronize the plan.

Go to suscriptions, your domain suscription, change plan/addons, and select a active plan like Unlimited and OK or Apply

after that go to the Services Plan button, click to edit Unlimited, go to Additional Services, Other Services, and select magicspam and click on Update & Sync button

You need to Update & Sync your Plan every time that you assign a new subscription

This fixes the problem xD

Special thanks to the magicspam support team, especially Shaun who was very kind in investigating and solving the problem.

I hope it serves you, greetings
