Magiscapm Event Error

Good day,
Has anyone seen this error before, I pick it up in our event viewer:

magicspam-service: magicspam-storage.c:276 ERROR spool_to_live(): Failed to backup production file c:/magicspam/db/rl.unqdb: Permission denied

written every few seconds, not sure what to do or how to stop the issue.

Hello drakuel,

The most likely reason for the issue would be that the file permission on the following directory or file are incorrect.

c:\magicspam\db
c:\magicspam\db\rl.unqdb.bak

The simplest way to resolve the issue would be to:

1. stop the magicspam service daemon from the 'services' applet (services.msc)
2. remove all files from c:\magicspam\db (except GeoLite2-Country.mmdb) and c:\magicspam\db\queue
3. start the magicspam service daemon

If that fails to resolve the issue, a reinstall of the MagicSpam package should perform a full reset of the directory permissions. To do so, please reinstall MagicSpam using the latest installation package from our download page:

After the uninstallation but before the installation of MagicSpam, please remove the following directory from your system:

Note that all your MagicSpam setting will be preserved after the reinstallation.
