User exemption lists have disappeared twice in the past 3 days. Stats & logs are also reset. No obvious reasons for this and there have been no changes at root level.
Global settings haven't changed.
Can anyone suggest a cause?
MagicSpam Pro 2.0-3

Re: user exemption lists disappearing
Hello Jodi,
Thank you for your post.
Because there is no reset function in MagicSpam for such user data, we are wondering if there are certain automated jobs by your system or customers that are deleting them.
Please note that such user exemption and stats/log data are stored in customer's home directory, and it is possible that the customer may have tampered with the files, or some automated job overwrote these files.
If you have any more information or findings from your investigation into the above, please let us know, and we would be happy to assist further.

Re: user exemption lists disappearing
Thanks for the reply.
As far as we can tell there is nothing running that would account for the lists being deleted. The various users are purely mail relays and have no additional services running under them.
We have been able to restore the lists from backup. I'll investigate cronjobs etc further if/when the disappear again to see what may have happened
Kind Regards
Jodi

Re: user exemption lists disappearing
Hi
The exemption lists have disappeared again. Still haven't be able to determine the cause. There is no pattern to when they might disappear. Just one day they are there, the next they are not . Last time was over a month ago
We have checked logs & crons - cannot find a reason
Only the exemption files disappear - settings for the account remain intact

Hello Jodi,
We are sorry to hear that this issue has persisted. At the moment yours is the only case we have heard of this happening. As mentioned, MagicSpam doesn't have any automated jobs that would "clean up" or otherwise remove these.
As a suggestion, you could make the files immutable, but then of course you wouldn't be able to update them either.
We do also recommend updating to the latest 2.1-5 (if you haven't already). Although the changes in this shouldn't be related to your problem directly, if there really is something weird going with MagicSpam, this may help to mitigate this.
We apologize we can't give you more of a direct solution in this case Jodi, but please let us know if you have any other questions.
