How to test than MagicSpam it´s working correctly

Post by Caos » Mon Dec 28, 2009 8:19 am

Hi,

I have buy the license for MagicSpam for Plesk 100 domains.

I have installed MagicSpam for Plesk v1.0.4-4.2 in my Plesk v9.2.3 CentOS 5 Qmail.

Stadistics:
Total number of RCPT's received 0
Number of RCPT's rejected as spam 0
Number of RCPT's exempt from spam checks 0

Logs entries:
No entries found

But I´m receiving spam, more than 25 spam messages received and not detected?

Regards

Hello Caos,

Thanks for contacting us! Could you please confirm that your MagicSpam installation is currently enabled? You should be able to see whether the system is enabled or not by looking at the MagicSpam 'dashboard' page.

Still waiting for help.

More than 100 spam messages received and not detected?

MagicSpam installation is enabled. Default Configuration (installation).

Sorry for the delays - our offices are currently closed for the holidays. You will have to email our sales team about an extension on your license (sales@linuxmagic.com).

If the statistics are not showing any RCPT's coming in, then something was incorrectly initialized somewhere in the installation process.

Which package did you download from our download site?
How was this package installed? Through the interface?
Have you tried disabling, then re-enabling the software?
If you run a telnet session to port 25 on your server, do you see a MagicSpam banner?
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software?
What does the following command output when run in the console:

/usr/share/magicspam/bin/license_manager state ; echo $?

Thanks
