Log file empty

Post by pnjfksx » Sun Nov 02, 2008 5:00 pm

My log file of the last 50 entries was empty when I checked earlier today, so I downloaded and installed the latest release of MS. The log file was still empty so I disabled and enabled MS, sent a test email, and still no data in the file. This happened last weekend as well. Any ideas?

In order to assist you in debugging this issue, could you please provide the version of your operating system, plesk and confirm the version of MagicSpam for Plesk you have installed.

We have had some previous problems with viewing the logs in the interface, however they should be addressed. If there is a new issue showing up, we would of course like to investigate it further and have it resolved as well.

Also, in the future, if you could please include your name, or the company which the MagicSpam for Plesk module is licensed as, it would help to associate your account on the forums with your license.

Thank you in advance for the requested information.

Hello Norman,

We have actually released a new version recently. We are currently at version 1.0.3-2. Could you please visit the download page (http://download.magicspam.com/) and retrieve the latest version?

Let us know if you are still experiencing problems.

Apologies - I misread the information which you provided.

To help us debug the issue further, please answer the following questions:

[*]Are you able to view any of the log entries at this time?
[*]Does this issue only seem to come up at the beginning of the week?
[*]How large are the files in /var/log/magicspam?
[*]Can you confirm that there are entries in /var/log/magicspam/log.5 for today (Nov 7th)?

Thanks.

Just to update this thread - we have isolated the problem and corrected it. An updated package should be available soon to correct the issue.

Matt,

Yes - this has been corrected, however we are still putting the finishing touches on the latest release. At this time, we do not have an expected release date, however we will be sure to post a forum message when we do!
