Update Broke Things

Post by DM_Support » Mon Nov 18, 2013 12:46 pm

I just updated to the latest version of the WHM/cPanel addon, as MagicSpam stopped working when cPanel was updated to 11.40.
Here is your forum post regarding the update http://forums.wizard.ca/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=219622

After the update, all accounts that were using MagicSpam show as disabled when logging into client cPanel account. If I check the box to enable, and then save, it saves, but remains disabled.

Any ideas?

Hello DM_Support,

Thank you for your post, we would like to help you get to the bottom of this problem as soon as possible.

We are concerned that there may have been more cPanel updates related to the recent addon registration restriction (http://forums.wizard.ca/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=219622). If you could, we would like you to temporarily disable the new addon registry feature.

Launch 'Server Configuration / Tweak Settings' - click on 'Security' tab, then set:

Allow apps that have not registered with AppConfig to be run when
logged in as root or a reseller with the "all" ACL in WHM.

to the value "On".

Please let us know if you are then able to properly enable domain protection. We will continue on with the next steps upon you reply.

Thanks,

We already had that option set in Tweak Settings to on, but it is not fixing the issue.

Please see the result below:

Hello DM_Support,

Thank you for your reply. We have now released an updated version (2.0-2.5) of MagicSpam for WHM/cPanel Professional which addresses this issue. We suggest downloading the latest version from our downloads page:
