magicspam-upater.exe okay?

hello,

i was not sure, if magicspam is performing updates correctly, so i run

c:\magicspam\bin\magicspam-updater.exe

and got:
messages is NULL..

is this a correct answer or is anything wrong?

Hello Andi,

This message is normal - in point of fact the 'update' binary is not expected to be run manually except in cases of debugging - and could actually prove harmful in terms of file permissions and security settings if run under an account that has restricted file creation flags set.

If you wish to determine that the updater is running correctly, simply check the time stamps on the files within the directory:

c:\magicspam\bms

and

c:\magicspam\dynaregex

to ensure that there have been updates within the last 6 hours.
