Hello,
I'm wondering what is the most effective way to set up magic spam filter without actually filtering/bouncing the good email ?
MagicSpam filter was working fine for our media temple plesk for 5 months but then about a week or so ago we started to got lots of spam pass through magic spam filter.
Help ? is there any phone number for support that I can contact ? we are local to Vancouver, BC area.
Thanks
Eric
Lots of Spam goes through Magic Spam
Re: Lots of Spam goes through Magic Spam
Hello Eric,
Thank you for your post and greetings as well from Vancouver!
We first recommend looking at your MagicSpam logs and identifying which messages are passing by. Then, take the guilty IP addresses and check if they are listed on any BMS lists, using the BMS checker website here:
http://www.linuxmagic.com/products/bms/
If you see many of the culprit IP addresses are listed on the same BMS list, we would recommend enabling that list and trying it for a while to see what effect it has on the spam situation.
Please let us know how this goes and report back to the forum if you decided to try any particular lists, we're sure the other MagicSpam users could probably benefit from seeing these results as well.
Thanks!

That is the same question every email operator asks themselves, no matter which anti-spam software they are using and it is MagicSpam's objective to provide the answer! Fortunately, if you are using our recommended set of rules, you are off to a good start (as evidence by your reported success over the past few months).I'm wondering what is the most effective way to set up magic spam filter without actually filtering/bouncing the good email ?
