Could you please clarify a couple of things:

You say the customer is attempting to send to ritesh@aviadditives.com but based on the messages below he is attempting to send to himself...

Does you server actually host the bajajgroup.net domain?

Can you confirm on you server if bajajgroup.net resolves? It does on our end but the rule that triggered indicates a DNS resolution failure.

If this is your customer sending through your server, why are they not using SMTP Authentication?

Hello,

Sorry we had posted wrong header. The actual header is:

<ritesh@aviadditives.com>:
207.45.177.18 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550-Verification failed for <sumeet@bajajgroup.net>
550-Called: 66.228.124.150

The domain is actually hosted on our server on IP "66.228.124.150" and the DNS is working perfectly ok. They are using SMTP authentication as our server requires people to authenticate before they can send mail outside. They are able to send to all outer domain except this.

Could you please post the log entry from MagicSpam that corresponds with this message? Something still does not seem right here and the information already provided is not listing all of the information we need: ie: what was the MAIL FROM: command that was sent to the MagicSpam enabled server.

We are still puzzled by the entry shown:

The MagicSpam log entry can be found manually in /var/log/magicspam or through the interface in 'search logs'.

550-Sent: RCPT TO:<sumeet@bajajgroup.net>

which *again* indicates that the recipient was not ritesh@aviadditives.com.... that particular recipient was rejected by a different server: 207.45.177.18.

Hello,

The entry 550-Sent: RCPT TO:<sumeet@bajajgroup.net> is shown because this is the bounce message header and the bounce info is coming to sumeet@bajajgroup.net. The comlete transaction log in our server is as below:

Ok... we have run some tests now and have been able to duplicate the issue - the bounce / rejection being generated is rather misleading..

So.. which server is it that you are administering?
66.228.124.150 or 207.45.177.18 ?

Based on the logs you have posted, those are from the 66.228.124.150 server.

The rejection originates from 207.45.177.18. We have confirmed that it rejects on addresses from bajajgroup.net. If you are also administering the 207.45.177.18 server, then the issue lies in a DNS resolution error on that server - it is unable to find the A record and/or MX record for bajajgroup.net.

If you are not administering that server, then we suggest you contact the email administrator for aviadditives.com and forward this information to them.
