This depends on the rule that is triggered, but MagicSpam utilizes a custom system of 'verbose' bounce messages to help clearly define the policies in place.
For example, if a sender were blocked by the rule valid_helo_domain (whereby the HELO issued must be a proper domain format) then the message they would receive back is:
Your message was rejected by this system and was not delivered.
Reason: Messages from your location are rejected, bad or missing identifier (HELO). Contact your email administrator
Protection provided by: MagicSpam 1.0.4-2 (http://www.magicspam.com/)

or contact your ISP or mail server operator.
The links themselves give a detailed account of the rule that was triggered and also explains the terms of SMTP best practices that defines the rule.

Re: What kind of messages will blocked senders receive?
Is it possible to customize these logs?
I would love the be able to make them say something like "Please contact Kevin at 555-555-5555 for help with this problem".

Re: What kind of messages will blocked senders receive?
At this time, it is not possible to add a custom message to the rejection notice. We have, however, received a few requests for this feature and it is already on our feature request list for consideration in a future version of MagicSpam.
Thanks for your input!

Re: What kind of messages will blocked senders receive?
Those messages must be in some file, probably a binary/executable one and I think they may be modified with a hexadecimal editor.
That way we would be able to customize them -although with some limitations- before the feature is implemented.
What file would we have to look inside for messages?

Re: What kind of messages will blocked senders receive?
Unfortunately, modifying the MagicSpam binaries is considered hacking, and as such, violates the terms of the software license.
Custom block messages is an existing feature request, one we are considering implementing in an upcoming MagicSpam Professional Edition.
If you are eager to have this functionality, please contact sales [at] magicspam [dot] com and we would be happy to set up a billable custom work order for you.

OK. I'll wait for that feature in the standard release.
