Statistics for Last 24 hrs are missing
Re: Statistics for Last 24 hrs are missing
Hello Knarf,
Thank you for your post.
Could you please let us know if the stats are still missing?
If they are, one of the possible causes for this issue could be corrupt log files.
To correct such issues related to file corruptions, please follow the instructions below:
1. Stop MagicSpam by clicking the "Disable Protection" button found under the "Settings" tab in the "System" section.
2. Issue these two commands to clear out the old log and counter data:
rm /var/log/magicspam/.counter*
rm /var/log/magicspam/mslog*
3. Start MagicSpam again by clicking the "Enable Protection" button found under the "Settings" tab in the "System" section.
Please let us know if the above steps resolve the issue, or if you have any further questions.

Re: Statistics for Last 24 hrs are missing
I had reinstalled the complete server at September 17th, after which MagicSpam has worked for a couple of days.
The only changes that I can think of that could have affected the working of MagicSpam, is installing more extensions and changing system time zone (to Europe/Amsterdam) and rebooting the server.
At September 25th I deleted the log files in /var/log/magicspam/ as described in an effort to eliminate the problem as described above, without results.
Answers to your questions:
# ls -laR /var/log/magicspam
/var/log/magicspam:
total 696
drwxr-xr-x 2 magicspam psaadm 4096 Sep 27 00:01 .
drwxr-xr-x 24 root root 4096 Sep 27 03:54 ..
-rw-r----- 1 magicspam psaadm 997 Sep 27 23:07 .counterv2.dat.09

-rw-r----- 1 magicspam psaadm 158602 Sep 25 23:59 mslog.2
- MagicSpam Version: 2.0.18-1
- Operating System and Version: CentOS Linux 7.5.1804 (Core)

- Plesk Version: Plesk Onyx Version 17.8.11 Update #22
- MTA (Qmail, Postfix, Exim): Postfix

Re: Statistics for Last 24 hrs are missing
Hello Knarf,
Thank you for your post.
Based on the provided information, we believe that the issue is related to incorrect time zone in the php.ini file; could you please check the following file:
/opt/psa/admin/conf/php.ini
and make sure that the correct timezone is configured to Europe/Amsterdam as well?
If you change the value of the timezone in the php.ini file, please remember to reload the php.ini.
Please let us know if this resolves the issue or if you need any further assistance.

Re: Statistics for Last 24 hrs are missing
Thank you for your information. I tried what you suggested but I couldn't find the provided path to php.ini, but I found a path to php.ini in /etc/php.ini
There I made the following changes:
In Plesk > Tools & Settings > Services Management, I restarted Apache, Nginx, PHP-FPM services, and also I restarted MagicSpam through the UI (MagicSpam Protection > Settings > Disable Protection and then Enable Protection), but the statistics for the last 24h are still missing. The time of the incoming mail in the recent log entries is correctly displayed. Do you have other suggestions?
There I made the following changes:
Code: Select all
[Date]
; Defines the default timezone used by the date functions
; http://php.net/date.timezone
date.timezone = "Europe/Amsterdam"
; http://php.net/date.default-latitude
date.default_latitude = 52.371807
; http://php.net/date.default-longitude
date.default_longitude = 4.896029

Re: Statistics for Last 24 hrs are missing
Hello Knarf,
Thank you for your post.
From your post we understand that you were unable to find the provided path and editing /etc/php.ini did not resolve the issue.
To continue troubleshooting this issue, could you please confirm that the /opt/psa/admin/conf/ directory exists?
If the php.ini file does not exist in the /opt/psa/admin/conf/ folder, please create it and add the correct timezone to the file:
e.g: date.timezone = "Europe/Amsterdam"
Lastly, please restart the plesk sw services by running:
service sw-engine restart && service sw-cp-server restart
Please let us know if this resolves the issue.

Re: Statistics for Last 24 hrs are missing
Dear MagicSpam Support,
I want to let you know that thanks to your information the problem has been solved now!
Further information:
The /opt/psa/admin/conf/ directory doesn't exist on my system.
However, after another search, I found /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/php.ini
I added the line date.timezone = "Europe/Amsterdam" at the end of this file and I restarted Plesk sw services.
Immediately after that, MagicSpam was showing the statistics for last 24 hrs again and is working as expected now.
Thanks again for your oustanding support!
