In this guide, you will learn about some possible issues that may crop up during license key registration and their respective troubleshooting steps.
Here are the most common error messages you might encounter when registering your license key through MagicSpam interface:
Invalid License Key
This error message indicates that the license key is invalid, typically due to a human input error (e.g. missing or extra character) with the license key.
Remote server said: Error: MagicSpam Register/Update request with invalid license key 
Please try to register the license key again but make sure to enter the full license key.
License Key Mismatch
This error message indicates a mismatch between the purchased license key and the installed MagicSpam product, e.g. when registering a MagicSpam LITE license key in a MagicSpam PRO installation.
License Key does not match for this product
If you purchased the wrong license key, please purchase the correct license key from our webstore and contact our Billing Team through our contact form to cancel the wrong license key. If you are a MagicSpam Reseller, simply purchase the correct license key and cancel the wrong license key through your MagicSpam Reseller Console.
If you installed the wrong MagicSpam product, uninstall the wrong MagicSpam product from your server and download the correct MagicSpam product using your license key from our download site. Afterwards install the correct MagicSpam product on your server and register the license key.
Previously Registered License Key

This error message indicates that the license key has been registered previously. Once registered, a MagicSpam license key is locked to the IP address of the server and cannot be registered on a different server even if the license key is still active.
Remote server said: License is already associated with another server installation. Cannot Update License! 
If you are migrating to a new server or would like to register your license key on a different server, please contact our Support Team through our contact form and provide your license key. Subsequently, our Support Team will reset the anti-abuse lock on your license and you will be able to register your license key on the new server.
Expired License Key
This error message indicates that the license key is expired.
Your license key is currently expired. You can try re-entering your key to check for updates or enter a new key in the form below
Once expired, a MagicSpam license key cannot be renewed and should be replaced by a new license key. You can purchase a MagicSpam license key from an authorized reseller in your area or directly from our webstore.
