Exempt IP Range?

Hi team, I need some more help.

The marketing team for my company is wanting to make use of MailChimp's service but it's getting caught by MagicSpam. They've provided an IP range (quite a LARGE IP range, I might add) but I'm having to put in each individual IP address for Sender IP White List and Per-IP Rate Limiter Whitelist. Is there a way to edit the exemptions from a configuration script instead?

I've been told to whitelist
205.201.128.0/20
198.2.128.0/18

Please help.

Hello Atindall,

Thank you for your post. At the moment there is not currently a way to add IP ranges or networks to the white/black lists in MagicSpam.
Perhaps see if MailChimp is able to use the same SMTP MAIL FROM for all your messages, you would then be able to whitelist this sending address.
Alternatively, you may need to perform a log search to see what is blocking these messages and then disable the rule/list responsible.

Please let us know if you have any other questions,

Returning to this issue. Mailchimp's getting blocked and I've whitelisted the following:

[*]*mfdc.net@*.mcsv.net
[*]*@mfdc.net
[*]*@*.rsgsv.net

But it's still getting caught in the spam filter. Here's a copy of the headers from our Zimbra mailserver from February (when it went through)

Hello atindall,

Thank you for your post.

Could you please let us know if you are still experiencing problem with Mailchimp getting blocked even though it is whitelisted?

If you are still having issue with blocking these emails, could you please provide us MagicSpam logs for these email transactions.

To retrieve MagicSpam logs, you can use the MagicSpam interface and access the "Logs" tab.

In the log search result output, you have the option to export/save the log search results to a CSV file. Once you have the CSV file, you can
email that as an attachment to us for examination using your email client to our support email address:

support@magicspam.com

Please make sure that you remove entries where mua=yes and highlight only spam entries that are coming from the Mailchimp.

Also could you please send us screenshots of the following tabs in your MagicSpam admin interface panel:

Settings / Exemptions / "Sender From White List" and "Sender IP Black List"

Also could you please fill us in on the following details on your system:

- MagicSpam Version

- Operating System and Version

- Operating System Architecture (32 bit or 64 bit)

- Plesk, cPanel, MailEnable or Zimbra

- MTA (Qmail, Postfix, Exim)

Thank you,
