Server Requirements

I am looking for an alternative to SpamAssassin.
(SA memory requirements were substantial, erratic, grow over time)

I have VPS with 3cpu and 1GB memory, 300x domains, 99% of my incoming mail traffic is on mail forwarders.

I want to reduce the amount of spam my customers receive and help protect my server IP reputation.

I do not provide mailboxes to clients. Some use my server for outgoing email.

1/ What are the memory resources required to use MagicSpam... 10MB, 100MB, 500MB

2/ How much storage is required for temporary files

3/ Are mail forwarders covered by MagicSpam

4/ Are rejected messages sent to a black hole or can I expect some backlash for using this product

Hello Quotes,

Thank you for your message. MagicSpam will reduce overhead and lower
system recourses: It protects in the SMTP layer, helps reduce overhead,
bandwidth, backscatter and other system resources, and it reduces your
changes of your IP(s) getting blacklisted.

1/ When MagicSpam is running, it uses less than 1 MB, but it has the
potential to use up to 100 MB if needed.

2/ MagicSpam does not store temporary files when performing scans.

3/ MagicSpam works at SMTP level independent of mail forwarders setups.

4/ MagicSpam rejects detected spam message right away with an rejection
message to the sending server without accepting the email; therefore,
there is no backscatter issue from having to send an email back to the
sender email address about the rejected email.

Please let us know if you have any more questions
