Hello,
We use Magicspam (1.0.6-1.3) for Plesk 11.0.9 with Postfix on CentOS 6.4.
Is the "valid_from_domain" test intended to also reject mail from the null sender in addition to invalid domains? As I understand it, that violates RFCs, so I wanted to confirm that this is the intended behavior. I noticed that this happened when I received complaints of rejected mail to a server that uses sender callbacks (with a null sender)...
The mail system

Re: valid_from_domain test and the null sender
Hello,
Thank you for your post! The valid_from_domain rule shouldn't hit on "null" sender addresses as these are supposed to be bounce messages:
If you respond with a sample MagicSpam log file we would be able to give you more details (feel free to remove any sensitive data, but we will need to see the FROM address).
Thanks!

We think in this case that the MAIL FROM address isn't quite right. The valid_from_domain rule only checks to make sure the domain portion of the from-address is valid (e.g: "localhost" isn't allowed).MAIL FROM: <>
