Any experience with Cpanel performing Greylisting natively?

Post by cpanel-antispam » Tue Aug 18, 2015 1:20 pm

MagicSPam,

So I've noticed that Cpanel offers "greylisting" now natively within Cpanel.

Have you had any experience with this in conjunction with MagicSpam and/or other AntiSpam solutions?

I have used grey listing before, in a couple other products, and found it to add more unwanted delays,
which led to more complaints, which led to it being disabled.

I thought perhaps with it being native to Cpanel, the experience might be improved.

Any thoughts?

thank you!

Hello,

Thank you for your post.

We are unable to comment on the effectiveness of the greylisting feature
in cPanel. We have also not had any customers reporting using both
(cPanel greylisting and MagicSpam) together.

In MagicSpam's design, all detected spam messages are rejected right
away and permanently. This ensures that legitimate non-spam emails are
not delayed for delivery while ensuring that your server is protected
from spam activities.

If you do try out the cPanel greylisting feature with MagicSpam, please
let us know by posting on the forums so that others may benefit from
your experience as well.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
