No logs and old history

Post by transcom » Sat Aug 06, 2011 2:49 am

magicspam has been working great for a couple of years, but on upgrade to php5.3 , although showing enabled in plesk, its shows all of last years (2010) statistics and no logs, mslog didnt even exist so was manually made, but no data.

The old data being shown is also incorrect, some 47k rejected a day, has never been this high. On refresh, no new entries.

Running Centos 5.6 with PHP 5.3, plesk 9.5.2 and magicspam 1.0.5-3 , licence is valid.

Have done all the obvious, is, checked server dats, deleted all and reloaded, still the same.

Help appreciated

Regards

Bill

Hello Bill, and thank you for your post.

Rather odd results.. and should work with php 5.3...

If you could please try the following steps:

Remove the MagicSpam module via the Plesk Modules Management interface

Manually remove the files:
/var/log/magicspam/.counter.dat.08
/var/log/magicspam/mslog

if this is plesk for windows...:

c:\magicspam\logs\mslog
c:\magicspam\logs\.counter.dat.08

Install the MagicSpam Module.
Enable the MagicSpam module

All settings should be preserved between 'remove' and 'install', but we need to rule out if there were core settings specific to integration that may have been reset as part of the upgrade of PHP (eg: if other packages were affected).

Additionally, could you please let us know the operating system your plesk is running on, as well as the MTA (Qmail, Postfix, MailEnable).

Thanks!
