Roadmap - Your Mailing List Company - Black Listed

Post by raymondlee » Wed Apr 08, 2009 12:16 pm

I hope I'm putting this in the right section.

I have two clients on my server that use a company called "Your Mailing List Company" to send out newsletters to there clients. At the bottom of the newsletters there is the option to unsubscribe. The problem occurred when the clients I host weren't receiving there own mailing lists.

Upon further investigation the ip address of YMLC was on the MagicSpam block list #35 which is associated with http://www.mipspace.com/

I had my client send out another newsletter but the ip address was different. I emailed YMLC and told them about the problem and had them email me a list of IP address's they use to send email out.

This is a list of the mailservers they currently using which I added to the IP exemption list and problem was solved:
87.237.8.239
87.237.8.240
87.237.8.242
87.237.8.245
87.237.8.246
87.237.8.247
87.237.8.248
87.237.8.249
87.237.8.250
87.237.8.251
78.41.65.2
78.41.65.3
78.41.65.4
62.213.201.74
62.213.201.80
62.213.201.86

In case any of your clients use the same company I provided the list for your convenience.

I wonder if there are any email companies out there that are permanently safe from being black listed.
If anyone knows of any please post it.
I wonder if eventually all mailing companies may be black listed one day?

I disabled mipspace. I have multiple netblocks, all of them are blacklisted at mipspace. Some are new and haven't even been used and they're already blocked. I'm going to take a wild guess that not many email service providers use mipspace for realtime spam filtering.
