Logfile format

There will always be opinions, both good and bad on how MagicSpam protection, rules and policies are used, and what the defaults should be. Different environments may have different needs. We try to find the perfect balance, and that is not always easy. Just remember that we have to satisfy millions of users.. not just one person.

Logfile format

I am using MagicSpam for MailEnable and I want to process the log file and put it into SQL. Do you have any documentation on the layout of the logfile. I'd prefer to read documentation than to reverse engineer it.

Unfortunately, we do not have any official documentation regarding this. However, you are welcome to post a snippet of your logs and we would be happy to walk you through what each piece represents. You may want to change some identifying pieces, but that is entirely up to you.
