I just upgraded Plesk and now MagicSpam doesn't work!

Post by magicspam » Fri May 14, 2010 3:04 pm

Q: I just upgraded my Plesk Panel and now MagicSpam doesn't work!

A: While our software does a best effort to adapt to its underlying conditions, a full Plesk Panel upgrade can sometimes cause MagicSpam to no longer work for cases where it might overwrite configuration files that MagicSpam uses to integrate.

You can fix this by removing the MagicSpam extension, then re-installing it again from the Extensions Catalog.

Please note that all settings, statistics, and log data will be preserved.

It should be exactly the same procedure - disable MagicSpam and then enable it again. That should allow it to resume normal operations.

Thanks. If you mean simply clicking on Disable/Enable Protection tab on the Dashboard, I've done this with no results. Still showing Enabled, but with nothing being blocked. Our 350 customer emails a day are currently 1500!

Could you please try uninstalling MagicSpam and then installing the newest version? We released some new packages this morning that may help address this.
