Re: How to stop blocking mail from localhost like Mailman li

Hello Widomaker, and thank you for your post! In this particular case, it would appear that your /etc/hosts file has not been configured yet for the server to be 'self aware' of the host names associated with its own localhost interfaces - both ipv4 and ipv6. In this case this can be rectified by mo...

Re: Big problem with Backscatter email

Hello! Thank you for posting your question and for supporting MagicSpam! Re: MagicSpam stopped working for no apparent reason?

Hello, Thank you for your inquiry and for supporting MagicSpam! It sounds as if there is a problem with the logs looping onto themselves. As a test, please move the log files in /var/log/magicspam/ out of the way and see if MagicSpam can recover gracefully. If you are still having problems, please c...

Re: magicspam not working after reconfiguring of mailenable.

Hello cstech,

Have you recently updated to MailEnable v7? If you have, you will need to fully uninstall MagicSpam and then reinstall it.

Also, please check that spam protection is enabled in the MagicSpam dashboard interface.

Please email support@magicspam.com if you are still having problems.

Re: Blacklisting range of IP addresses

Hello rbstern, Thank you for your reply. After reviewing the information you gave us we think there maybe a problem with your reverse DNS lookups. For example: 5/1/2013 10:19 HAM no 193.142.111.33 [193.142.111.33] kor.careownman.com barbara_beeman@careownman.com myuser@myclient.com The column after ...

Re: Blacklisting range of IP addresses

Hello rbstern, This range which you reported is interesting because some of the IP addresses should have been picked up by the check_ip_reverse_dns rule for having no PTR record. The entire range appears to be listed on MIPSpace and some entries are on PSBL on RATS-NOPTR. Might we suggest trying out...
